Experts claim vitamin C is one of the safest and most effective supplements. Vitamin C may protect against immune system inadequacies, cardiovascular illness, prenatal health difficulties, eye disease, and even skin ageing, yet it is not a treatment for the common cold. For adults, the tolerated upper intake level (the most amount you can take in a day that is unlikely to harm you) is 2000 mg per day. A recent research published in Seminars in Preventive and Alternative Medicine looked at over 100 studies over a ten-year period and found an ever-growing list of vitamin C’s potential advantages.
Vitamin C has gotten a lot of attention lately, and for good reason. “Higher blood levels of vitamin C may be the optimal nutrition metric for overall health,” says University of Michigan researcher Mark Moyad, MD, MPH. The more we learn about vitamin C, the more we realize how versatile it is in preserving our health from cardiovascular disease, cancer, stroke, eye health, and immunity.
